Emily was a sucker for animals, she guessed. Maybe being a vegan helped. Or was it just being one with nature?
Soon enough she was on to Tyler's scent as she made her way down toward the river. He would like water. There he was in the clearing by the rocks. It was gathering dusk now. How long had he been here?
She found him chomping on a deer as if it were a snack. His body was bathed in blood now and there was no trace of what he'd been. Emily watched trying to get an edge on him, somehow. She knew he was scared and he might lash out which meant she might laugh at him, and she didn't want to do that. She kept still.
He very much was part of nature. Honestly, she respected that, but she knew if he stayed on his own he'd be hurt by the outside world.
Emily blew a breath. It had really been a long time since she'd ran into a Lycan. She put her hands on hips, thinking what to do next. Did she even know what she was doing anymore? Really, this was all so much to take in. She knew she wouldn't be here if it weren't for Anna. Yet Anna had given her the power. Had Anna any idea what she could do with it now.
Emily sucked in a breath, gave Tyler an intense look. In a blink of an eye she'd turned him into a puppy, a messy one at that. She went over and took the black hair mutt in her arms. He was at least easy to handle now.
"What a bad boy you've been." She just smiled and rubbed her fingers on his head. He licked her cheek. At least she could keep him from harm for a little while.
