Anna really didn't want to need anyone's help. She couldn't tell her mom about this. It would only worry her. The only soul she could think of was summoning Emily's ghost. True, it had been ages since they'd spoken, but after all, Emily had been a second mother to her for a very long time.
Anna went to her dresser and pulled out the old bones and the raven's claw. That was a start. Now if she could remember the words. If she did, it would make her fall into a deep sleep. Somehow, she had to reach Jeremy before it was too late. What if?
She tried not to think about it. Jeremy with Tyler. What was he trying to do? Make a pack of some kind? Or was it something more? Anna tried her best not to think about that part. She needed Jeremy with her. He was hers. No one elses. Especially, not Tyler's. This would mean war. Possibly.
She dug deeper in her undie drawers. It wasn't called for, but she knew Emily would coume quicker if she she bonded the twigs of lavender in with the other items. Now if only she could remember. She should remember these spells. It was true. Emily had taught her so much about nature and the spirit world. But she'd soon forgot these things after she'd met Jeremy. It was truly being in the real world when she was with Jeremy. But now, she needed someone from her old world. Emily.
"Emily." She closed her eyes tightly, hoping her mom would not be mad. She started vague words of latin, bit of French. She so wanted this to happen. She needed her other mother now. The one who could get Jeremy back. Anna felt her body sway and it began to twist and turn until she was in the air. Around and around. She was so dizzy until she hit the bed so softly. She heard whispers everywhere, until she heard Emily's voice.
Anna opened one eye. There Emily was in the shadows as beautiful and innocent as she ever was.
